It took me forever to write this article and I don’t know why… I think a part of it would be because I haven’t really stopped travelling and have been all over. But her let’s talk about the Bahamas. The Bahamas was a part of my Caribbean trip and oh my oh my did I have the time of my life. The Bahamas was my ultimate favorite trip and I just simply can’t wait to go back because It’s just breathtaking and magical!

It took us forever to get to the Bahamas but when we were there all was forgotten and life as I knew it was gone! I might be going crazy with my love for the Bahamas but really it’s just something else.

How to get there? Emiratis!!! News flash WE DON”T NEED A VISA TO THE BAHAMAS! Yes I said it… I just walked right in with no issues at all. Anyway we flew to the Bahamas from Cuba via Air Bahamas. But I’m guessing coming from the GCC you would need to fly to New York City then get on a less than 2 hours flight and you’re in paradise!

Where to go/ Where to eat? Oh boy. Where do I even start with this because we had one hell of a trip and it was just everything I had imagined it to be that I had to do it twice.

NASSAU: So Nassau is you place to go to if you want to: go boating, snorkeling, diving  to see a sunken drug plane, swimming with pigs and sting rays, swimming with sharks, spotting starfish, chilling with Iguanas, spotting celebrity homes… I mean the list does go on!

So what we did was flew from Nassau to Exuma Cays – it was about an hour flight once a day. Then we had Exuma Water Sports pick us up from the airport and drove straight to the bay for our half day cruise. Now there’s a difference between a half day cruise and a full day cruise.

The half day cruise you get to swim with the Swimming Pigs, Iguanas, go to a private beach to enjoy the sun and some drinks.

The full day cruise you get to Swim with the swimming pigs, see the iguanas, go snorkeling in some cave, swim with the sharks and if time permits to go looking for starfish.

Most people who come for the day to Nassau are forced to just go for the half day cruise just because well it takes longer and your flight leaves before you get back, so it really doesn’t make sense.

Then of course you have ME being the persistent girls that I am I HAD to go swim with the sharks and honestly I do prefer a more private tour so that I can just control it the way I want to and really enjoy my time while being out there. We went back to the airport desperate to find a private boat and spoke to this guy at the restaurant right opposite the airport and he got us in touch with his friend who owned a boat. Now I won’t lie it was very pricey but so worth it.

So we had to book another flight ticket for the next day, traveled again in the morning and went to all the places I was dying to go to and we had the time of our lives!

ATLANTIS: Many of you are thinking “Oh the Bahamas is just an island no luxury what so ever!” But on our way to Atlantis I was so shocked to see that they had all the high end brands you could think of on their high street. We saw all the Gucci, Prada, Chloe and many more.

From our hotel we drove almost 30 mins to get to the other side of Nassau and explore The Atlantis and we weren’t disappointed at all. The hotel is just as grand as you could imagine and had all sorts of restaurants and entertainment. We spent the day there and it was a lot of fun!

Transportation? You two means of transportation is either a taxi or a boat really. I warn you they are not cheap at all!

Where to stay?

The Island House: So it’s very usual for everyone to stay in Atlantis just because well everything is just there for you and its known. But I didn’t want to stay there because I have experienced it before and it wouldn’t be anything new really.

The Island House just felt so good and relaxing. Honestly the room was beautiful and spacious – we literally has two bathrooms and an outdoor shower. We had breakfast by the porch which as you can see is spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. I must admit I also fell in love with the closet space.

I highly recommend staying at this resort for so many reasons and here is why:

  • Secluded from all the hustle and bussle
  • 24 serivce
  • Amazing food prepared by their chef (SOOO GOOD) and it has 2 beautiful restaurants (GREAT SUSHI TOO)
  • 10 mins away from the airport
  • MAssive pool
  • 24/7 Gym
  • and just pure interior goals!

I literally can keep listing things for you guys, but i think you get the gist. I have to add that the staff were incredibly helpful and so attentive. I mean my phone stopped working and one of the staffers offered to drop it and pick it up for me from the repair shop. Now thats what I call a quality service!

So, let’s just say… I will be going back to The Bahamas and I sure hope it’s soon!
