The most glamorous part of Ramadan in Dubai has to be the gorgeous “Ramadan Tents” that pop up all over the city. My recent visit to The Arabian Coourtyard at the One & Only, Royal Mirage Dubai has to be the highlight of the season for me!
The beautiful outdoor courtyard has been veiled by a rich red canopy (and air conditioned) to make for the perfect Ramadan tent. As you step into this beautiful Arabesque paradise – it seems as though everything: from the welcoming candles to the charismatic lanterns, conspires to warm your soul. The cozy red and brown tones of the decor, plus the familiar tunes of the authentic live Arabic music made for an intimate social gathering with my gorgeous girlies.
Aside from the exceptional ambiance, the food didn’t disappoint either! We went there immediately after Iftar, so our appetites were peckish rather than starved! We eased into the evening with Morroccan tea all around – which was so good, we kept it flowing till we left two hours later! Then, after one look at the menu (bearing in mind we were stuffed after Iftar), we just HAD to try a few key dishes including Hommos with Meat and Tabouleh, then some sweetness came with Um Ali, and Kunafa. One word: Divine! The food had all of us slumped lazily on the comfortable cushions, floating up to Cloud Nine!
The girls and I had such a great time. The delicious food, the incredible shisha, the authentic tea, the soft music, the attentive service, everything, absolutely everything, was perfect! 100 out of 10 on my part!
P.S. When you guys visit, let me know what you think!
