One of this summer’s biggest, coolest trends has been the statement denim. Everything from high-waist shorts to sleeveless denim waistcoats has sent both genders denim crazy. A type of statement denim which seems to have sent the blog world insane is the studded DIY denim. I have been loving this trend; it has given fashionistas the chance to get creative with denim by randomly studding sections of their denim garments to give it that edgy uniqueness. Whether studded, printed with the American flag or Aztec designs statement denim has been a success this summer.

If you are yet to let your creative juices flow get your hands on some studs available on eBay and get studding! Also, for those of you thinking it’s a bit too late in the summer season to get your legs out as autumn is slowly stumbling upon us don’t let the season stop you. Who’s to say you can’t team up denim high-waist shorts with the infamous opaque tights?
