The Maldives and the Conrad Rengali Island is probably one of my favorite places on earth. It’s the closest thing in my opinion of paradise and I don’t think anything else can compare to its beauty and serenity!
Just imagine being in a place that’s quiet and just a beautiful endless view of the ocean. Its definitely a place I keep going back to just relax and unwind for a few days and just being away from all the noise and social media (apart from when I’m posting about it on my stories)
This isn’t my first time at the Conrad Rengali Island in the Maldives and it certainly won’t be my last. I spent for night at the beautiful island and I just came with one pair of shoes that I flew in with and walked barefoot the whole time I was there.
One of the reasons I went back there was because of the amazing staff that I absolutely adore and the delicious food that they keep serving us.
I spent 2 nights at the newly renovated beach villas and 2 nights at their water villas, early mornings to catch the sunrise and early nights in for a good nights’ sleep!
THE BEACH VILLA
The beach villa was recently renovated and it’s very different from the last time I had checked in to the Conrad Rengali Island.
It had an indoor and outdoor shower, a newly renovated pool with beautiful tile finishing, a really spacious bedroom with a seating are and the best part was the little vanity room just by the entrance so us women can get ready in peace and with good lighting.
The bed itself was extremely comfortable it was like sleeping in the clouds. If you were a beach person and just want to walk out from your villa and straight into the beautiful sands and ocean, I would highly recommend this for you.
THE WATER VILLA
Now this water villa is different from the one I spent my time in last. This was more secluded and far from the main island, it took us a while to go back and forth. But seeing that you are in an island there were 3 ways of transportation. 1st is by walking, so much more romantic, 2nd was by the buggy and that’s if you’re late to your next appointment or just too lazy to walk and the 3rd is my fave you can take a water taxi from one island to the other!
Now the water villa is located as you might now by now, above the water. You have an endless view of the ocean and can dive in the deep right away.
It’s also located next to the couples spa and early morning yoga sessions. It also near by the adult pool (which is the best part).
THE FOOD
So one thing the Conrad Rengali Island definitely doesn’t lack is the option and selection of restaurants. You can eat at a different restaurant every night for 12 nights and it’s just all amazing.
Here are some of my faves:
Sunset Grill, has some of the best seafood and meat. It’s just above the reef and you can enjoy the most stunning view of the sea life right beside you.
Mandhoo Spa Restaurant is one for my healthy eaters and vegans out there. Everything they serve has a purpose to rejuvenate and energize you for the day to come. Also they do feed the shark there so that’s a plus for me.
Koko Grill is one for the young or old couple. It’s a ten course Japanese dining which is very intimate that the chef serves the food right in front of you and talks to you more about the dishes he is about to serve.
Ithaa is another one that can’t be missed and it’s probably the most famous restaurant of all which is the underwater restaurant. Warning you might need to book this way in advance as they always seem to be fully book.
My final favorite would have to be Atoll Market, if I’m not ordering room service, which I seem to always do because of the stunning backdrop, I will be indulging in the eight buffet kitchen. Oh but it’s not just for breakfast, you can also enjoy dinners there with family.
Here is a bonus for you, the beach dining is a really great experience especially if its during lobster bbq night. Honestly the vibe and food is phenomenal and don’t get me started with the atmosphere and stars for days!
THE MURAKA
Now this is something absolutely new to me, when I arrived at the Conrad Rengali Island they had just launched and were expecting their first guests the very next day to stay at the prestigious MURAKA. I had never seen anything like this place and honestly it’s somewhere I would definitely love to stay one day.
The Muraka is a 2 level, 3 bedroom residence that is incomparable. It has its own entrance and seaplane landing dock, so you don’t need to mingle with the rest of the guests in the main island, it’s perfect for celebrities and well the rich and famous who don’t want to be seen.
It is truly the first of its kind and it just might as well be named a pent house on water and underwater as one of the suits is located underwater and it’s something else.
The Muraka has its own team of staff to cater to your every need and butlers who will be at your side at any time of the day and will make sure to make your stay feel special and well customized for you and your guests.
The Conrad Rengali Island is a resort I continuously recommend and look forward to visiting it again!
